Welcome to our spelling barn! Here, children build spelling confidence one word, one lesson, and one week at a time.
Our Grade 1 spelling curriculum includes 36 weekly learning packs, designed to help children recognize spelling patterns, strengthen phonics skills, and become more confident readers and writers.
Each week introduces 10 spelling words and 2 optional challenge words through our special learning method:

What’s Inside Each Weekly Pack?
- Monday: Meet five new spelling words and practice with SSWC.
- Tuesday: Learn five more words and build phonics skills.
- Wednesday: Review all ten words through guided spelling and ELA activities.
- Thursday: Practice spelling from memory using picture cues and spoken words.
- Friday: Celebrate progress with Show What You Know!
Weekly packs also include phonics explanations, reading activities, printable ELA worksheets, and parent teaching guidance.
